- Attire:
- Academy students should wear their ballet uniform that is worn to weekly classes, and students showing up for the open audition should wear a black leotard with pink tights (ladies), or a white t-shirt and black tights (gentlemen).
- Please have hair secured back from the face. Ladies, please bring pointe shoes if you have them.
- Please note that safety pins may be used to secure the audition number.
- This production has a set number of roles and pre-made costumes.
- Spots are limited and students are not guaranteed a role if they participate in the audition.
- Ability, height, and level are all taken into account and we ask that all students and parents respect any casting decision made by the Artistic Director.
- Academy of Cleveland Ballet students receive first priority for casting decisions.

- Seeking a dynamic and boldly creative leader to drive CDP’s evolution forward.
- Preference is for an accomplished choreographer who may create new works to be performed alongside works from our repertoire, as well as from guest choreographers.
- Candidates who are not choreographers will also be considered.
- Desired experience and skills include:
- At least 12 years of professional dance experience in any or all of these areas: performer, choreographer, artistic director
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in classical and contemporary ballet, and contemporary artists
- Experience and a commitment to working with live musicians
- Substantial experience in running rehearsals in the studio and onstage
- Experience in working with a board and staff
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking
- Advanced education in a related field
- The position is located in the Metro DC area. The successful candidate will work full-time, with six weeks of paid vacation and the possibility of time off for outside projects. Salary commensurate with experience. Position begins on or about July 1, 2026.

- Final candidates will be asked to spend a paid week working with the company during our Jan 2-10, 2026 rehearsal and performance season.
- Eligibility: NYC-Based choreographers, ages 19-24
- Eryc Taylor Dance awards three $1,000 grants to emerging choreographers based in New York or New Jersey.
- Each grant supports the creation of a 15–20-minute original group piece, which will be presented in an informal studio showing in March 2026.
- Grant recipients will be announced by December 1, 2025, and performance dates will be confirmed by December 15, 2025.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Reside in either Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Hoboken, Jersey City, or Staten Island.
- Must not have previously received any grant (private, corporate, or government funding).
- Apply with an original, unperformed concept.
- This grant is for individual choreographers; companies or collectives are ineligible.
- Demonstrate strong choreographic vision, with preference given to those collaborating with musicians or artistic designers.
- Applicants can not attend a college or university during the grant period and graduate by May 2025.
