Audition Description
AURA Dance Theater, the leading contemporary dance company in Lithuania, is seeking experienced, versatile, and open-minded dancers for full-time contracts for the 2025/2026 season, starting from August 1st, 2025.
We are especially inviting Japanese dancers to apply, as our company has a strong and ongoing relationship with Japan. Every year, we co-organize a „Japan days WA“ festival in Kaunas, and have collaborated with several outstanding Japanese artists such as choreographer Ryu Suzuki, composer and sound-graphic programmer Arai Tatsuru (his work is in our current repertoire, with a Japanese dancer originally in the main role), art director, and producer Sebastian Masuda.
We are excited to continue this cultural exchange by welcoming a dancer from Japan to our international team.
Requirements:
We are looking for dancers with:
Strong foundation in ballet and contemporary dance techniques
Excellent improvisational skills
The ability and willingness to adapt to various choreographic styles
Additional skills or dance backgrounds (e.g. traditional, street, martial arts, circus, etc.) are a strong asset and should be mentioned in the application
