Ballet de Monterreey was founded in 1990, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, thanks to the valuable vision and initiative of a group of altruistic people committed to culture and the national development of artistic expressions. At the head of this great company, a Board of Trustees was formed made up of members of the Monterrey industry, which would make it possible to solve this social project that is so important in the history of dance in Mexico. The artistic area is coordinated and advised by Maestro Thiago Soares, an outstanding choreographer with great international experience. The company's cultural offering already capitalizes on great experience and professional growth that allows it to offer a wide repertoire of classical, neoclassical and contemporary pieces, thus satisfying the demanding tastes of the general public. Ballet de Monterrey has its own identity in the creation of new proposals, which include Mexican music, thus leaving a particular touch on its tours abroad. It has grown year after year, in conjunction with the artistic quality of its cast, the large number of performances presented and of course, the large influx of audiences in the theaters where it is presented, giving rise to a growing response from new spectators. With this vibrant and energetic personality, Ballet de Monterrey is today an ambassador of Mexican dance in the world.
