Ballet Tech holds open auditions throughout the school year. Previous dance experience is not required for students who are applying to Ballet Tech’s Elementary School. Most students enter Ballet Tech in the fall of their 4th grade year. If your child is currently in the 3rd or 4th grade and you would like them to audition for Ballet Tech’s 4th or 5th grade, then please register for the open audition listed below. (Registration is required.) Ballet Tech is a New York City public school — all students must be NYC residents in order to enroll.Updated: Sept. 13, 2025
