11:15 a.m. Group One: Dancers 5 to 10 years old with 2 to 5 years of dance training. Arrive at 11:15a, audition starts at 12:00p; dismissal at 1:00p Group Two: Dancers with 6 or more years of ballet training and 2 years or less of pointe experience. For this group, dancing on pointe is NOT required. If you have 2 years of pointe experience and would like to be considered for a pointe role, please plan to bring your pointe shoes to the audition. Arrive at 12:30p, audition starts at 1:30p; dismissal at 3:00p Group Three: Dancers with 6 or more years of ballet training and 3 years or more of pointe experience. REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITIES — Dracula performances will be held at Scottish Rite Theater, on October 17, 18, and 19th. Dancers must be 10 years or older to audition for this production. —The 51st annual Nutcracker performances will be held at Century II Concert Hall, on December 19th, 20th, 21st with School matinee shows scheduled for Wed. Dec. 17th and Thur. Dec. 18th. We are excited to be touring The Nutcracker on December 5th and 6th! Dancers must be 5 years or older to audition for this production. —Ballet Wichita Academy Placement Class Any dancer 7 years or older who is enrolling for the first time with the Ballet Wichita Academy or did not receive a placement evaluation at the end of the Spring 2025 semester. This is only for dancers who would like to enroll in our level specific curriculum. No placement class is needed to take any of Ballet Wichita Academy’s Open classes. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS –Dancers have the option in the registration form to register for one or more of the opportunities listed above. Dancers will not be considered for any opportunity not expressly checked on their audition form. All dancers must be registered to audition on August 16, 2025. —Please follow the link to the online registration form; the forms MUST be completed for all dancers auditioning to perform with Ballet Wichita. If you are filling this out for multiple dancers, a registration form must be completed for each dancer. — After filling out the online registration form you will be directed to Ballet Wichita’s Dance Studio Pro (DSP) account. If you already have a DSP account with Ballet Wichita no further action is required. If you do not have a DSP account with Ballet Wichita you will need to create an account for the audition registration to be complete. An account is required even if you are not participating in the placement class as all rehearsal attendance and production payments are taken through this system. IMPORTANT INFORMATION! **BALLET WICHITA’S DRACULA AUDITIONS ARE OPEN to dancers who are at least 10 years on the date of auditions** **BALLET WICHITA’S NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS ARE OPEN to dancers who are at least 5 years on the date of auditions** **BALLET WICHITA ACADEMY’S PLACEMENT CLASS IS OPEN to dancers who are at least 7 years on the date of auditions** Audition FEE: The Audition FEE is $30 per dancer and due prior to August 16, 2025. All participants will be billed through their DSP account upon finalizing registration. Audition Groups Audition groups should be selected based on age and experience requirements outlined below and not on the opportunity your dancer is registered to be considered for. All dancers MUST arrive at the Ballet Wichita Studio at the time listed below, NO NEED TO ARRIVE ANY EARLIER. After picking up their number and checking in, dancers will be measured for costumes then move to the studio for Auditions. NOTE: Please only enter the studio if your dancer is new to auditions, needs your assistance, or you have specific questions that can’t be answered before audition day.
