COOKING DANCE FESTIVAL is the result of many years of work and experience in the world of dance, which has led us to create a unique festival dedicated to spreading both classical and contemporary dance through training, workshops, performances, flashmobs , master classes and conferences . Its dynamism and freshness allows us to reach the whole world. Our goal is to create a unique event and course, offering students with diverse styles and levels the opportunity to pursue ballet and contemporary training with international teachers and choreographers as well as students from other countries, finishing their experience on stage . Our mission is to create the present, through an educational program of the highest quality , to reach the widest possible audience and thus preserve and extend the great repertoire of classical and contemporary dance. This project is led by choreographer and teacher Lizt Alfonso from Cuba. Lizt Alfonso Cuba (LADC) is a fusion dance that mixes ballet, modern and contemporary dance, Spanish dance, Cuban and Afro-Cuban popular dances… and much more. For over 30 years, LADC has been a success with its shows on stages across the five continents, thanks to its unique and different style. LADC created its own system and methodology for teaching fusion dance, based on a pyramid scheme, in which classes are taught at all levels, from beginners to professionals. More than a thousand students make up their own school, which is the direct source for training their professional dancers. The Barcelona Dance Center, always looking for the latest innovations at an international level, wanted LADC to be part of the Cooking Dance Festival this year 2025, inviting its founder, teacher, choreographer and general director, Lizt Alfonso, so that together with a team of teacher-dancers, they teach a series of classes in their style and create a choreography that can be appreciated at the Grand Final Gala. In each class, variations will be shown that will allow you to discover step by step the fusion style that characterizes it and, as a special attraction, classes of popular Cuban and Afro-Cuban dances will be taught separately, from a modern, fresh and enriching perspective of the fusion of what we are today in the movement of the body, which will allow you to discover new knowledge, processes and results.
