Description

Bohemia Ballet is a dance company of the Prague Dance Conservatory , which features graduates and students of the school. Young and renowned domestic and foreign choreographers are invited to collaborate with the company. During its existence, the company has developed into an ambitious group of young dancers, often laureates of international competitions. Bohemia Ballet performances are distinguished not only by their technical sophistication, but also bring joy and enthusiasm of young dance performers to the stage. The dramaturgy is created with regard to the composition of the company, enabling the development of the artistic abilities of students - future dance professionals, and at the same time enriching the repertoire on the Czech dance scene. During its existence, the company has won several awards and created extraordinary projects in a professional context, performing on domestic and foreign stages, and being invited to festivals and dance shows /Germany, France, Slovakia, Poland, USA, Japan, Colombia, Portugal, Cambodia/. The repertoire is very broad, including both examples of classical ballet heritage (the famous pas de deux from the ballet Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty) and contemporary choreographic compositions and folk dances from Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia.
