Video Requirements:

State the dancer’s name, age, school where currently studying ballet and length of en pointe (if applicable). Include short barre work including pliés, battement tendus, adagio, grand battement (combinations should be done to one side only). Center work should include adagio, turning combination, petite and grand allegro. Female dancers should include pointe work that includes, but is not limited to, échappés, relevés passés, and turns that are appropriate for the level of the dancer’s technique. If the dancer is a beginner en pointe, combinations could be done facing the barre. Advanced female dancers should include any classical variation en pointe.

Audition Description

Bossov Ballet Theatre (BBT) at Maine Central Institute (MCI) offers a unique year-round program that integrates professional ballet training with high-level academics. Students pursue their high school education and train for a professional ballet career in one place, maintaining the highest standards in both disciplines. This is one of the only programs of its kind in the U.S. Students in this program must: Audition and be accepted into BBT. Be enrolled at MCI as a full-time high school student. The application form is required to be considered for any program. A $30 application/audition fee is required. If auditioning via video, please ensure your video is prepared before submitting your application.
