Students accepted as summer trainees will have a specialized program that includes: The opportunity to be selected to rehearse and/or perform with Carolina Ballet. There will be a limited number of summer trainees, and of these, up to two may be selected to be apprentices with Carolina Ballet for the 2024-2025 season.

Carolina Ballet is one of America’s premier arts organizations, and the region’s only professional ballet company, programming traditional ballets by legendary masters and new works by contemporary choreographers.

Whether pursuing a professional track, or simply interested in studying dance, at the School of Carolina Ballet, students will develop the technique and knowledge necessary to achieve their personal goals learning from our renowned artistic staff.

Dancers in the most advanced levels will have the opportunity to rehearse with Carolina Ballet Dancers in certain productions and those deemed ready will also have performance opportunities. Also, advanced students will be the first in consideration as Apprentices for the professional company leading to company positions.
