Session Description

Classes in Levels 1 through 4 explore the use of the imagination, expressive movement, creative play and rhythm as a foundation for dance. Basic ballet vocabulary and concepts are gradually introduced. Students are challenged to strive for correct form and technique. At age 6, students are encouraged to begin the study of African dance. Focus is placed on fostering and maintaining a love for dance and music while systematically developing the ability to exercise concentration, discipline, a knowledge of the dance vocabulary, building coordination and expressive movement skills while being a part of our community.
