Description

We are seeking male dancers for our 35th season. Alongside performing established repertory, company dancers will be involved in the creative process of our upcoming residency with renowned choreographer, Maxine Doyle, as well as part of Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo’s new full-length work. Eisenhower Dance Detroit is a contemporary repertory dance company based in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The Company boasts a diverse repertory by nationally-known choreographers. Repertory has included works by Edgar Zendejas, Nicolo Fonte, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Micaela Taylor, WEWOLF, Norbert De La Cruz III, David Parsons, Lar Lubovitch, Ron de Jesus, Ahmad Simmons, Gina Patterson, Jamey Hampton, David Dorfman, Founding Artistic Director Laurie Eisenhower and current Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo, among many others. Dancers must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work visa that allows them to work for at least two years to be considered. Mature dancers should have a strong background in ballet and modern technique, along with performance experience. Ability to relocate to the Detroit area and transportation is required for Company members. Dancers are contracted from August 1, 2025 - July 31, 2026. The contract length is variable but is generally between 32-35 weeks with national and international touring. Apprentice positions and Summer Intensive acceptance will also be considered during the audition.
