Created by Douglas Scott and Full Radius Dance in 1993 to showcase the diversity and excellence of Atlanta's dance scene, the festival is one of the only professionally juried dance festival in the southeast. Full Radius Dance has presented more than 1000 companies and independent choreographers on the MAD stage. We've welcomed more than 1200 dancers and have paid more than $75,000 in honorarium to MAD participants. The festival builds community for local artists and companies and cultivates new audiences through the festival format.
