Description

In addition to appearing in GHDT’s student production of THE NUTCRACKER, G2 presents a repertoire concert each season. Dancers in G2 may also be selected to appear in GHDT concerts, touring performances, and special events as needed. Dancers in this program have opportunities to become trainees and/or apprentices with Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre. Younger dancers may be selected as apprentices to G2. Acceptance in this program is through invitation only. Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre offers training and performance opportunities for serious, aspiring dancers aged 13-19 through the G2 program. All members of G2 train exclusively at the Academy of GHDT and are registered for unlimited classes. These student dancers are required to maintain attendance 5 to 6 days weekly at The Academy and must take classes in ballet. Pointe, modern, jazz, and ethnic dance forms. They are also required to attend all repertoire classes and G2 rehearsals, where they learn GHDT repertoire and pieces created specifically for G2.
