We are pleased to announce that the Houston Ballet Academy will hold auditions for the 2024 production of Stanton Welch’s The Nutcracker! Auditions for current Houston Ballet Academy students in Levels 1-10 will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024. More details will be sent via email. Auditions for students not currently enrolled in Houston Ballet Academy will be held at the Margaret Alkek Williams Houston Ballet Center for Dance on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:45-3:15 PM. Who Can Audition? Male identifying dancers - Ages: 7-14; Height: 5'2'' and under (with dance training and/or onstage acting experience) Female and Non-binary identifying dancers - Ages: 7-14; Height: 4'9'' and under (must currently be enrolled in ballet classes) Performance Dates: November 29 - December 29 Students will need to be available for rehearsals and performances during the Thanksgiving weekend and over the Winter Holiday Break.
