Video Requirements:
The material on the audition video should be recent and not exceed 12 minutes in length.
Video Auditions should be filmed in a proper dance studio.
Filming should show the dancer’s entire body. There should be minimal video editing.
Remember to remove passwords from videos.
The video must include the following:
Verbal self-introduction in English, 1-minute maximum. Use the same name as you will on your Audition Application Form.
Contemporary solo – maximum of 3 minutes: studio footage preferred, but stage footage is accepted within the last 12 months. Preferably no fancy edits and full body shot.
Improvisation – 2-3 continuous minutes: Improvisation without edits - current only, filmed within the past two months.
Ballet Technique – 3 short exercises at the barre, including rond de jambe, frappe and grand battements and four short centre exercises consisting of adagio, pirouettes, petit allegro and grand allegro.
Provide a table of contents identifying names of works and choreographers, improvisations, and/or repertory excerpts.
