Louisville Ballet Studio Company is a 4 year program forming Levels 7, 8, 9 and 10 – a product of and extension of the Pre-Professional Program at The Louisville Ballet School. These emerging young artists are truly the bridge between The School and Company. Dancers 18 to 23 years of age, whether directly out of high school or upon completion of a collegiate program, are invited to audition. Upon acceptance, dancers are placed into the appropriate level based upon age, experience, strength, maturity and overall talent. Louisville Ballet Artistic Staff instructs Studio Company classes in ballet technique, pointe, Pilates and strength conditioning. Our high quality training is delivered through a regiment of carefully designed technique classes. Dancers are assessed through evaluation classes and have individual mid-season and end-of-season conferences to discuss strengths and weaknesses with the intent of supporting the progression towards achieving a professional caliber status. Louisville Ballet Studio Company dancers have opportunities to perform with the Company as repertoire allows each season, with The School, and as a part of the Community Engagement team with education outreach performances in schools throughout the area. Additionally, the Studio Company will maintain the classical repertoire in productions created exclusively for these talented young dancers throughout the region. Studio Company dancers have at their disposal full access to Company resources including Louisville Ballet Medical Team, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, on-site work out equipment and Louisville Ballet’s Injury Prevention and Recovery Program.
