Session Description

TRAINING Macomb Ballet Company dancers rehearse 1-3 times per week, depending on their level. Although requirements vary based on level, it is mandatory that each dancer take a minimum of 2-5 ballet technique classes per week at a studio of choice. The company also brings in extraordinary instructors to teach master classes several times a year. AFFILIATE SCHOOL The Macomb Ballet Company uses Ann Parsley School of Dance to train and rehearse its dancers. Although MBC accepts students from any studio, many of our dancers train at our affiliate school, Ann Parsley School of Dance. The studio, founded in 1976, is well known for their emphasis on strong ballet technique. Ann Parsley School of Dance is a studio dedicated to providing quality dance instruction in a non-competitive environment. High technical standards are maintained and a joy of movement and sense of artistry are instilled through encouragement and positive reinforcement. The goal of the studio is to give students a solid dance foundation through the focus of technique and discipline by allowing them to embrace the spirit and soul of dance as an art form.
