Description

School of Nashville Ballet faculty members carefully nurture each Academy student’s technical execution, artistic expression, and maturity. Through careful development and attention to the syllabus, our instructors implement a curriculum that is designed to produce dancers with both expressiveness and clear classical lines. This guidance enables students to develop their own artistry, while pure classical technique provides the vehicle for their artistic expression. Each schedule has a list of suggested Optional Disciplines to take in addition to the minimum Academy classes, but your dancer is welcome to take whichever level of Optional Discipline that is most appropriate for them. Each dancer has the option to participate in a showcase which will have a $275 fee.

Session Description

The same esteemed faculty, state-of-the-art facility, and carefully curated curriculum that is synonymous with Nashville Ballet's elevated Academy training available for advanced students at an earlier time of day from 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m. By opting to enroll in our Academy Day Program, students are able to spend their evening hours focused on other training commitments. Specifically, this creates a block of time for focused and determined dancers to commit to training for Young American Grand Prix (YAGP) competitions. Students enrolled in our Day Program are not required to participate in YAGP competitions, but individuals in the program will have the opportunity to audition to represent Nashville Ballet on this national stage.
