The Regional Summer Intensive Auditions (RSIA) at COCA are a collaborative audition opportunity, bringing together a variety of dance programs at one time for dancers to audition for summer intensive programs as well as trainee positions. The 2022 audition will adhere to COCA’s Health & Safety Procedures. Space is limited; pre-registration is highly encouraged. Walk-up registration is not guaranteed. COCA’s teaching artists and artistic team will facilitate the auditions and record each audition. Participating programs will receive all audition materials (resume and photos) and a link to recorded auditions. Programs will adjudicate and contact students in alignment with their own audition practice. All applicants must participate in the ballet, pointe (if applicable), and modern portions of the audition. Applicants should wear a black leotard and convertible skin-tone or pink tights and have hair in a bun OR a white-fitted T-shirt and black tights. Bring ballet shoes and pointe shoes and be prepared to dance barefoot for modern portion. COCA accepts gender-neutral dance attire and dancers may select which option is most comfortable.
