Hiring decisions for the upcoming season are generally made in late Spring/early Summer. The company does, on occasion, hire dancers mid-season. SDB accepts audition submissions throughout the year. If you are interested in being considered for employment or a trainee position, please send the following: Please submit: A current CV/resume that includes: Date of Birth, Height, Weight, Citizenship as well as training and experience (with dates) A current headshot A current image in first arabesque (leotard and tights) on pointe (half toe for men). Video Guidelines: Video submissions should be no longer than 5 minutes. Videos should include a brief barre as well as center work highlighting extension, turns, and both petit and grand allegro. Ladies must be wearing pointe shoes for center work. All videos should be recent. The dancer’s entire body should be seen, but not taken from so far away that the dancer’s face is not clearly visible. Costumes are discouraged, particularly romantic tutus or any thing that is going to cover the line of your legs. You may also submit a contemporary audition and performance video. In the case of the performance video, please do not submit a montage of clips set to a background track. We want to see how you dance to music, not how an editor spliced a bunch of clips together. You may supply links to online pages, but please link directly to the content requested. A general Link to a personal website will receive a negative response.
