The Community Engagement Director is responsible for overseeing a department charged with achieving the broadest possible public involvement, fluency and engagement in dance through The Sarasota Ballet’s extensive community engagement programs. Through programs developed and facilitated by the Education department including our flagship Dance – The Next Generation program, the Community Engagement Director ensures attention to and fulfillment of the organizational mission around community engagement initiatives. The Community Engagement Director will be a dynamic individual, passionate about dance education and providing opportunities for all demographics to have access to dance. A highly organized self-starter, they must be creative, goal-driven and possess a high level of initiative. Experience in dance education, teaching, and/or professional dance is essential to this position.
