AUDITION CALL For a New creation by Sedrig Verwoert Audition date: 20 & 21 January 2025 Deadline for application: 10 January 2025 Renowned choreographer Sedrig Verwoert seeks professional dancers & interns for his upcoming creation at Theater Rotterdam. Blending the foundations of contemporary modern dance with vibrant influences from Surinamese and Caribbean Culture, Sedrigs work offers a fresh, transformative perspective on the dance narrative. This production presents a unique opportunity to engage with stories and voices from the African diaspora, exploring bold, innovative expressions through movement. Theater Rotterdam produces and presents performances in Rotterdam and on tour in The Netherlands, since 2020 under the artistic direction of choreographer Alida Dors. Production information: - Rehearsals : ​​​​18 August – 15 September 2025 - Montage & Shows Rotterdam : ​15 – 19 September 2025 - Optional Tour : ​​​19 September until November 2025 Rehearsals and premiere take place at Theater Rotterdam. This is a paid opportunity for performers, based on the Dutch cao (collective labor agreement), internship allowance applies to interns. About the audition : We seek both professional dancers and interns to apply for the audition.
