Thuringia State Ballet

Eleven program of the Thuringian State Ballet Since the beginning of the 2018/19 season, the Thuringian State Ballet's eleven program has existed, which offers 12 young dancers the opportunity to gain their first professional stage experience at the Theater Altenburg Gera for one season, building on their ballet training. The young talent program is made possible by the Thuringian State Chancellery and is financed until 2024. The eleven, who come to Gera from the Berlin State Ballet School, the Zurich Dance Academy and the Palucca University of Dance Dresden as well as from international ballet schools, have the opportunity to train together with the Thuringian State Ballet in certain premieres and repertory productions in ballet and musical theater take part and further develop their dancing skills under the direction of ballet master Alina Dogodina.
